UCERC has adopted a program of research, service, and outreach to integrate the mission of the UC with the needs of the San Joaquin Valley's educational community by providing support, professional development, seminars, and links with educators, faculty, and practitioners.
Guided by a governing board consisting of distinguished faculty, educational practitioners, JDPEL students and alumni, UCERC maintains a leading edge approach to research, technology and education. Located within the innovative UC Center in Fresno CA, UCERC joins UC Merced and other University of California programs to provide the most comprehensive and widespread delivery of educational services and resources throughout the San Joaquin Valley. UCERC has attracted grants and contracts to provide expanded opportunities for field-based research and development for graduate students and affiliated faculty.
The results of UCERC sponsored research have been presented at local, national, and international conferences. In addition, UCERC has established partnerships with the Fresno County Office of Education, the Fresno Unified School District (FUSD), and the FUSD Science Resource Center to provide professional development, consultation, research, and evaluation services.
